WEDDINGS AT
FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
OF PELHAM UCC

Select the Date
We recommend that couples who wish to be married at the First Congregational Church of Pelham UCC make their plans as far in advance as possible. Please contact the church office (603-635-7025) as soon as you have chosen the date for your wedding.

Meet With Our Pastor
One or more meetings with our pastor will be required. It is your responsibility to schedule your first appointment with the pastor about four to six months before your wedding. The pastor will meet with you to talk about your marriage and to help you plan the ceremony.
Rehearsal
A date and time for the wedding rehearsal will be set when you meet with the pastor for the first time and have returned your application and deposit.. Please be sure that your entire wedding party is on time for the rehearsal.

Our Sanctuary
The sanctuary can hold up to 200 guests.. The sanctuary has a pipe organ. There is a center aisle.

Clergy
We require our pastor to conduct your wedding ceremony. You may invite other clergy to participate in the service. We are very open to sharing the service with visiting clergy, but we no longer permit weddings without the participation of our minister.

Music
The church organist will be happy to discuss the music for your wedding ceremony. It is your responsibility to contact the organist several weeks before your ceremony. Our organist plays for all services at First Church. Soloists and special musicians (flute, harp, trumpet, etc.) are welcome. If you have arranged for your own soloist, he or she should contact our organist. Soloists and musicians should bring a copy of their music for the organist. The church does not set fees for the soloists and the musicians that you provide. Please make your own arrangements with them. .

Photography And Videography
Please ask your photographer or videographer to check with the pastor about the church's guidelines. Our simple request is that they do not distract from the ceremony in any way.

Other Details
Aisle Carpets ("runners") are your responsibility. An aisle carpet is not necessary and often is more of a nuisance than an asset.
Please do not throw rice or confetti.
Please remember that First Congregational Church is smoke free.
Please remember that the celebration begins after the ceremony and not on church property. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the church premises.

Marriage License
You must obtain a marriage license from a town or city hall within New Hampshire prior to your marriage ceremony. Please bring your license to the wedding rehearsal.

Fees
The donations and fees for weddings at First Congregational Church of Pelham are established by the Board of Deacons and are available upon request. These fees are established by the Board of Deacons and Trustees after a careful survey of other churches in the area.
